Traffic Limiter is a useful addon for blogs with many media files which can cause high data traffic.
There are three traffic limits to avoid over traffic costs: daily, weekly and monthly limit. If one of these limits is exceeded downloads will either be redirected to a custom URL or a custom message is displayed. For images you can define a fallback icon which is displayed instead of the message. Additionally a download bandwidth can be set for registered users and guests.

Also included is a statistic system which displays the current traffic consumption and individual file stats to see which media produces the most traffic.

If the Apache extension mod_rewrite is installed download links stay the same, if not links to media files are automatically redirected. It is recommended to install mod_rewrite, although this plugin works without this extension.

WP-Filebase is a powerful file/download management plugin for WordPress.

It uses a category/sub-category/file taxonomy to keep everything structured. Providing a template system, the plugin is made for consistent output for file attachements and file lists including pagination and search functions.

• File Tags: Like tags of WordPress Articles, files can have multiple tags. In 0.2.9.9 you can only set tags and display them with the template variable %file_tags%. Listing all files with the same tags and tag links are not implemented yet.

Mit dem Process Freezer lassen sich laufende Windows-Prozesse ganz leicht anhalten bzw. beenden. Es können eine Reihe von Prozessen gleichzeitig ausgewählt werden um ihren Status zu verändern. Außerdem zeigt das Tool den Pfad der ausgeführten Datei jedes Prozesses an.

Das Tool ist OpenSource, der Quelltext ist in C# geschrieben. Zum Öffnen der Projektmappe wird VisualStudio ab Version 2008 benötigt.

Der KeyCommander lässt sich sehr einfach über .NET DLLs erweitern. Mit Plugins können eigene Actions hinzugefügt werden, die mithilfe der Standard-Events ausgeführt werden. Da der KeyCommander in C# geschrieben wurde, empfiehlt es sich, die DLLs ebenfalls in dieser Sprache zu schreiben. Mit VisualBasic oder VC++ sollte es zwar auch möglich sein, Plugins zu schreiben, die folgende Anleitung bezieht sich jedoch nur auf C#-Projekte.

1. Einleitung

Wie schon erwähnt, werden die Plugins für den KeyCommander in C# geschrieben. Als Entwicklungsumgebung empfiehlt sich daher VisualStudio ab 2005.

Um Plugins zu schreiben, sollte bei der Installation vom KeyCommander das SDK mit installiert werden. Darin enthalten ist ein Beispielprojekt mit einigen Actions. Im Installationsordner unter SDKKeyComActions ist die Projektmappe zu finden. Das in der Projektmappe KeyComActions enthaltene Projekt KeyComSystemActions und deren Klassen solltest du dir anschauen, um einen ersten Überblick zu bekommen.
